Strategic Planning Committee
The Strategic Planning Committee is responsible for guiding and overseeing the development of Cayuga County's Countywide Strategic Plan. Working in partnership with county officials, county boards, and the project team, the committee ensures that the planning process reflects the needs, priorities, and vision of the entire county.
The committee includes members from the following organizations: Cayuga County Legislature, Cayuga County Sheriff, Cayuga County Planning Board, Cayuga County Parks & Trails, Tour Cayuga, Cayuga County Soil & Water District, Cayuga County Water & Sewer Authority, Cayuga County Health Department, Cayuga County Veterans' Service Agency, Cayuga County Employment & Training, Auburn‑Cayuga NAACP, Cayuga County IDA, Auburn IDA, Auburn Housing Authority, Unity House of Cayuga County, Cornell Cooperative Extension, and the Cayuga County Public Utility Service Agency.
Committee members help shape the Countywide Strategic Plan by participating in meetings, sharing ideas, building consensus, and providing information about current local conditions, needs, and ongoing planning efforts. They review materials developed by the project team, offer constructive feedback, support public outreach and engagement, and help prepare for successful plan implementation.
